Many of my paintings depict states of the mind, internal ruminations. This is a small painting of a woman in a state of reflection, an emotion which appears to be disappearing from our lives in the time of electronic gadgets and instant gratification. For me there is nothing better than thinking about whatever comes to mind. A quiet place, solitude, meditation: all lead to this state of mind.
