“The Journey,” Monotype Symbolic of the Human Journey Undertaken by All of Us

 

For me this painting says so much about life.  We are all on a journey, the path which we seldom know, but one which we must be willing to follow.  The individuals in this monotype are following their path with the wind at their backs.

 

My journey has been blessed in spite of the brambles and rocks along the way.  I often wonder if Taos wasn't part of the destination unknown to me at the time.  I had no intention of coming to this small Southwestern town but was brought here by a person who "did his job" and then left.  I still had no intention of remaining, but here I am 14 years later.
