I don’t know what inspired me to paint this image. I never seem to be at a loss for words. Can anyone be at a loss for words? There are times in life when words do not communicate the proper emotions whether sorrow, joy, surprise. Who knows why this man is speechless? As I write this, I think of some of my favorite authors for whom words are life. Currently at the end of Gravity’s Rainbow by Thomas Pynchon, I am constantly amazed at the breadth of imagination and the words he uses to visualize that imagination for his readers. An amazing book!
This is another one of those small paintings which can be grouped to form an interesting conversation piece in any room of the house. Try it with Have a Seat.
