“Man of the Mind,” Second Session of a Painting Started in March

In March I started an abstract as pictured below.  Not sure where I was going with it as I thought about its completion, I hung it on the wall to let the image simmer in my brain.  Simmer it did for over two months.  At last it was time to take another look and add, delete, etc. 

The top picture is the result.  I added more darks,more lights on the man’s face, more definition of face, modified some of the lights on

 

 

 

    

the right hand side of the image, added more lines.  The painting is still not finished.  It will hang in my view for a bit longer before I add the final touches.
